Within the Far Cry Evolution community lies many very different people and personalities. However, the one thing that everyone from Evo can agree on is that we ALL love the chance to prove our map making skills. Well now an opportunity has arrived for you to do just that. Our good friends "The Mole People" have started a map contest of their own, and it is proving to be something truly original; something that gets that creative side that's in us all, more excited than ever.
You see, this is not your typical "make any map and go" type contest. No, the mole people have drawn from a real life hobby of theirs to create a truly original contest theme. What do they want? Paintball Arena maps. That's right; this is a contest open to any Far Cry Evolution paintball arena themed map. An odd theme for sure, but in these late days of the Evolutions community, this is definitely a nice refreshing change from the norm to inspire some truly original maps.
Since your mouth is most definitely watering at this opportunity to show your skills, it is very important for you to know what is meant by the term "Paintball Arena". Simply put, The Mole People want an arena type map with plenty of cover and an emphasis on gameplay over anything else. Maps must be no bigger than medium sized, and must obviously resemble arena of some sort.

Basically, 'Paintball Arena" has become a phrase the Mole People have coined to describe an arena map with sufficient cover, rather than being plain an baron like many arena inspired maps are. It is also important to note that maps should focus on gameplay, and although maps don't necessarily have to look good, visuals will help out any entry. Defects like "flashies" will result in a loss of points when being judged. The due date is at the end of June, and because the Mole People are Evolutions bound, this is an evolutions contest only. So get your map making gloves on and show the community what you're made of!
